PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility that a user mistakes a low resolution image as a high resolution image while listing images in natural display mode, when a high resolution image and a low resolution image (thumbnail image) are stored in a memory. SOLUTION: With regard to image data copied from an image memory 24 such as a digital camera 2 to the memory 12 of an image printer 1, the image specifier 14 of an image display specifies the image data of high resolution image, and a grouping display unit 16 generates a reduction image based on each image data. An image select screen listing a reduction image corresponding to the image data specified at the image specifier 14 out of these reduction images preferentially to a reduction image corresponding to other image data (low resolution) is presented at a user interface (UI) 17.
