PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shrinkable film capable of covering an item in a short time positively and without producing any irregular state and wrinkles and further provide an item covered by the film with less amount of irregular pattern and wrinkles. SOLUTION: A front end 12 of a heat shrinking film 10 is adhered to a container 15, the heat shrinking film 10 is wound around the container 15, a rear end 13 of the heat shrinking film 10 is adhered to the front end 12, the heat shrinking film 10 is heated and shrunk to cover the container 15. The heat shrinking film 10 is provided with an adhering part 14 at the front end 12 and the rear end 13, and the adhering part 14 contains an optical radical polymerization initiator and contains an ultraviolet curable adhesive agent 11 with a viscosity at 90°C of 3000 mPa s or more.
