PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sewing work efficiency by continuously performing the process of sewing a core material along the end edge part of a seat body and the process of bending the end edge part of the seat body to which the core material is sewn such that the core material is on the inner side. SOLUTION: The core material 21 is sewn to the end edge parts of facing materials 17 and 18 by a sewing needle 79 (Figs. (a) and (b)). The bending position of the facing materials 17 and 18 is stipulated by a flat plate 83 raised on a needle plate 74, a projection piece 80a projecting from a sewing machine presser to a side lower part on the rear side is abutted to an upper surface, and thus the end edge parts of the facing materials 17 and 18 are bent (Figs. (c) and (d)). By clamping a bent part between a pair of clamping rollers 46, 46 arranged on the downstream side of the feed direction of the needle plate 74, a hook-and-loop fastener 22 on the surface side of the core material 21 sewn to the bent end edge part of the facing materials 17 and 18 is locked and bonded to the opposing back ground fabric of the facing material 17 (Figs.
