PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a display having excellent contrast and visibility by laser marking. SOLUTION: Carbon black of 0.001-20 parts by weight having an average particle diameter ranging from 10 to 80 nm is incorporated in a thermoplastic elastomer, and a portion containing this carbon black is irradiated with a pulse laser beam of YAG or YVO4having a wavelength of 355, 532 or 1064 nm so as to be color-developed, thus forming a display portion 7 consisting of a graduation 2d and numerical values 2e and also forming respective display portions 6 and 8-11 representing the identification name or logotype of an electronic endoscope 1 or respective buttons.
