This invention provides a unidirectionally grain oriented electromagnetic steel sheet comprising 0.8 to 7% by mass of Si and having a secondary recrystallized texture of which the main orientation is {110} orientation. The steel sheet has excellent iron loss properties and is characterized in that the average deviation angles a, ß, and ? from {110} ideal orientation in the secondary recrystallized texture satisfy (a<SUP>2</SUP> + ß<SUP>2</SUP>)<SUP>1/2</SUP> = ? wherein a: the average deviation angle from the {110} ideal orientation around a rolled face normal direction (ND) in the secondary recrystallized texture; ß: the average deviation angle from the {110} ideal orientation around a rolling normal direction (TD) in the secondary recrystallized texture; and ?: the average deviation angle from the {110} ideal orientation around a rolling direction (RD) in the secondary recrystallized texture.
