An engine system (100) is disclosed that monitors for boost leak. The system has an engine (116), a compressor (132) located upstream of the engine (116), at least one auxiliary flow device (154) located downstream of the engine (116), and a computing system (170) operable to determine an estimated value corresponding to a flow of fluid through the compressor (132). The estimated value takes into account a flow of fluid from the compressor (132) toward the at least one auxiliary flow device (154) distinct from a flow from the compressor (132) toward the engine (116).
