It is possible to provide an image processing system and an image processing program in an image format of the reversible compression method and the index color type. The image processing system includes an image generation system and an image display system. The image generation system divides original image data to a degree when the number of colors used in a sub image region is equal to or less than a predetermined reference value and generates a color pallet including information on the colors used for each sub image, thereby generating new image data. The image display system reads the new image data and displays each sub image in a predetermined region according to the color pallet of the sub image, thereby displaying the image data.
