<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive roll capable of obtaining a uniform rough face more easily than before, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The conductive roll is provided with an outermost layer containing an organic polymer having at least a light absorption coloring matter on the periphery of the roll and has a large number of pores formed in the surface of the outermost layer. It is preferable that the light absorption coloring matter have an effective absorption wavelength in a near infrared ray area of 500 to 1200-nm wavelength. As the light absorption coloring matter, phthalocyanine coloring matter, immonium coloring matter, or the like can be suitably used. The conductive roll can be manufactured by a step in which the outermost layer containing the organic polymer having at least the light absorption coloring matter is formed around the periphery of the roll and the subsequent step in which a laser beam including a wavelength absorbed by the light absorption coloring matter is emitted to the surface of the outermost layer, thereby forming a large number of pores. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
