PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion instrument for inserting an intraocular lens to be inserted which can restrict leakage out of the eye of the liquid injected into the eye through an insertion tube 12c. SOLUTION: An insertion instrument 2 is provided with a main body 12 having an insertion tube 12c to be inserted into a cut 15a of an eyeball 15 and send out a lens 1 to be inserted into the eyeball, and a pushing shaft 16 to push out the lens into the eyeball through the insertion tube. The insertion tube has a cover 13 to cover at least part of the eyeball cut through which the insertion tube has been inserted in contact with the eyeball. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
