A field emission lamp of straight pipe type is provided to maintain a distance between a main electrode wire and a transparent electrode in a glass tube constantly by supporting an electrode support rod to both ends of a main electrode wire. A transparent electrode(112) and a phosphor are formed on an inner wall of a glass tube(110), and a main electrode wire(120) is disposed in the glass tube. One end of the main electrode wire is fixed by an anode stem(130) having a first electrode support rod composed of a cup and a support. The other end of the main electrode wire is fixed by a cathode stem(140) having a second electrode support rod composed of a cup and a support.
