<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function setting controller and function setting control method for appropriately changing function setting limitation in systematically setting various functions in accordance with a purpose for function setting, and to provide a printer driver and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A computer terminal PC of a printing system 1 appropriately switches two types of restriction systems such as a strong restriction system and a weak restriction system and controls item setting, when a UI driver 12 in the computer terminal PC is restricted in selecting set values available in a prescribed set item and any of the restricted set value is incompatible with a set value of the other set items even if any of the restricted set value is set, by changing the set value of the other set items.
