<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a promoter having a specific activity to seeds and a method for expressing a foreign protein in the seeds. <P>SOLUTION: Rice plant is transformed by isolating a plurality of promoters for rice plant seeds-expressing genes, respectively preparing binary vectors in which each of the promoters is inserted in the upstream of a GUS reporter gene and using an agrobacterium method. A promoter having a specific expression activity at the specific site of the seeds and higher activity than those of promoters and known seed-specific promoters has been found by examining expression sites by each promoter, expression during the maturation process of the seeds and expression strength in the seeds using GUS expression amount as an index. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
