<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress EMI noise during erasing data. <P>SOLUTION: An external device transmits printing data to an image forming apparatus (S11), and then, the image forming apparatus receives the printing data to store them in a memory (S12). A confidential information detecting means analyzes the printing data (S13). It is judged whether or not the confidential data information is detected. When the confidential data information is detected (S14; Y), the confidential level thereof is judged, and then the judgment result is registered to the memory (S15). The printing data are stored in an HDD, and then the printing is performed (S16). A data dividing means determines a minimum block size unit by which erasing of the data can be carried out based on the confidential level information, and then divides the print data (S17). A block erasing means determines the number of blocks of which the data are to be erased and the number of blocks of which the data are to be not erased by each divided block as the minimum unit (S18), and then performs controlling of erasing of the data for thinning the print data (S19). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
