<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic submucosal dissection auxiliary device which is inserted beside an endoscope to avoid making a perforation or a stab wound on the surface of a skin for performing countertraction of a mucosa to be excised and ensures a sufficient field of vision of a submucosa by separating the mucosa to be dissected from the peripheral tissues. <P>SOLUTION: The mucosa to be dissected is held in a ring of a mucosa holding part 10 while a distance between a tubular member and a tube 15 is varied by operating an operating line 11. The mucosa held is pulled up at a position away from the peripheral tissues of the mucosa by injecting air in a balloon 191 after holding the mucosa with the mucosa holding part. Moreover, the endoscopic submucosal dissection auxiliary device conforms to shapes inside a body because of the flexibility and is inserted inside the body together with the endoscope.
