PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display which is so fully secure as to make forgery difficult and allows more reliable validity judgement, with respect to a display in which a substrate surface is divided in a matrix shape and a diffraction grating pattern is formed in a cell within each element of the matrix to constitute a display image. SOLUTION: One or more cells 5 are disposed within divided elements of a substrate surface divided in a matrix shape to constitute a display image 9. At least one of a diffraction grating 6 where at least one of spatial frequency and diffraction direction is varying and a minute image is formed within the cells. Thus, on the substrate, there are disposed both of the cells in which a diffraction grating pattern for constituting the display image has been formed and the cells in which the minute images recognized only by magnification observation have been formed, thereby constituting a diffraction grating pattern including hidden minute images.
