PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a handover method for reducing unnecessary handover, a mobile communication terminal, a base station and a handover control program for attaining the method. SOLUTION: The handover method for a mobile station to switch base stations to be connected in a multi-hop network has a receiving step of receiving a communication signal transmitted by the base station and adjacent base station information for identifying one or more adjacent base stations existing around the base station and a control step of controlling handover processing based on the signal and the information received in the receiving step, wherein the control step has a step of determining the base station being connected, a step of determining whether or not the base station to be connected should be switched by using the adjacent base station information and a switching step of switching the base station to be connected based on a result of the determination step.
