PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing for preventing lateral running of rainwater, which is for use as a waterproof material of a building or a structure, and enhances the waterproofness at a longitudinal edge of a building panel. SOLUTION: The packing P for preventing lateral running of rainwater is formed of a horizontal portion 9 which is pinched by a male-female joint structure of the building panels A, and a waterproof portion 11 blocking a joint portionγbetween the building panels A.
