PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open ceiling reinforcing structure which contributes to improved spaciousness and design of an open ceiling space. SOLUTION: According to the open ceiling reinforcing structure, reinforcing members 30, 40 are set at edges of the open ceiling space 5, and one side edge of each of the reinforcing members 30, 40 is arranged along a second upper beam 12B of a lower-story building unit 10B for an open ceiling, so that the continuous broad open ceiling space 5 can be formed without obstacles at the center of the space, to thereby contribute to improved spaciousness and design of the open ceiling space 5. Further each of the reinforcing members 30, 40 has a plate portion extending approximately in the horizontal plane, and therefore high rigidity of each reinforcing member in the horizontal plane functions to reinforce the building unit, to thereby ensure the rigidity and strength of the entire unit building in spite of omission of a ceiling and a floor in the open ceiling space 5.
