PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change image quality such as the hue of observation images as needed without replacing an endoscope itself. SOLUTION: An infrared cut filter 16 is attached to one end of a torsion coil spring 22 through an arm 24 and a wire 19 is wound at the other end of the torsion coil spring 22. The wire 19 is pulled by an actuator 33 and the infrared cut filter 16 is positioned on an optical path. According to the operation of a traction button, the infrared cut filter 16 is moved to a withdrawn position. In this case, data relating to signal processing are subscribed in the register of a signal processing circuit and updating to an optimum data value in the state of not arranging the infrared cut filter 16 is performed.
