PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a toilet paper having a simple structure by which the toilet paper can be drawn out and cut off with only a single hand. SOLUTION: Left and right pressure plates 6 and 7 bent and formed of sliding parts 6a and 7a along the inner wall of a supporting plate 2 of the holder 1 and pressure parts 6b and 7b along the inner walls of left and right holder parts are held by left and right guide parts 9 and 10 provided at the supporting plate 2 in a left and right slidable state. The sliding parts 6a and 7a at the center of the supporting plate 2 and an operation plate 8 where an operation knob 14 is formed at the upper part of the supporting plate 2 are held vertically reciprocatively by upper and lower guide parts 11a and 11b formed at the center of the inner wall of the supporting plate 2. Then, between the lower surface 8b of the operation plate 8 and the base end parts 6c and 7c of the pressure plates 6 and 7, a moving direction changing mechanism R which makes the pressure plates 6 and 7 movable simultaneously in left and right reverse directions by moving operation of the operation panel 8 in a vertical direction is provided.
