When an ignition OFF instruction (IGOFF (1)) is given at time t1, a CPU references a predicted battery temperature map and acquires a predicted battery temperature (#Tb(1)) corresponding to an outside-air temperature (Tout) at time t1. When an ignition ON instruction (IGON (1)) is given at time t2, the CPU acquires an actual battery temperature (Tb (1)) at time t2 and calculates the predicted battery temperature (#Tb_NEW (1)) after correction concerning the first ignition ON instruction (IGON (1)) according to the predicted battery temperature (#Tb (1)) and the actual battery temperature (Tb (1)). Furthermore, the CPU updates the value corresponding to the outside-air temperature (Tout) at time t1 to the predicted battery temperature (#Tb_NEW (1)) after the correction in the predicted battery temperature map.
