A slim-type packaged air conditioner is provided to reduce thickness of an indoor unit and increase contact area of a heat exchanger by preventing generation of a dead zone, thereby improving cooling efficiency of the heat exchanger. A slim-type packaged air conditioner comprises an intake port(120), a filter(121), a heat exchanger(140), a first fan(151), a second fan(152), a discharge port(130), and a filter kit(122). The intake port is installed on a lower side of an indoor unit body(110) for the intake of indoor air. The filter filters the indoor air entered via the intake port. The heat exchanger is installed on a back side of the intake port, and performs heat exchange with the indoor air entered via the intake port. The first fan is installed on a back side of the heat exchanger, and blows heat-exchanged indoor air from the heat exchanger. The second fan changes flow direction of the heat-changed indoor air blown by the first fan to discharge it. The discharge port is installed on an upper side of the indoor unit body, and allows the direction-changed air by the second fan to be discharged to an indoor space. The filter kit, which is removable, is installed between the first and second fans, to allow the heat-exchanged air to be filtrated and to ensure consistent flow of the air.
