An electronic class-D amplifier having the input connected to an input (1) of a servo amplifier and a sample hold element. The sample and hold element (11) applies the held value of last sampled signal to a first input of an adder (5). The other input of the adder (5) is connected to an output of the servo-loop amplifier. An output of the adder (5) is connected to a pulse width modulator (6), and an output of the pulse width modulator is connected to an input of an output switching stage (27). The output switching stage is connected to the input of the servo-loop amplifier and the amplifier output. The pulse, width modulator (6) includes an oscillator (8), and an output of the oscillator is connected to a control input of the sample and hold element (11).
