<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detector which can judge the type of an object such as a pedestrian precisely from an image on the periphery of a vehicle obtained by an imaging means mounted on a vehicle, by reducing the impact of an after-image appearing on the image when the vehicle is turning; and to provide a vehicle, an object detecting method, and an object detecting program. <P>SOLUTION: The object detector comprises a means 11 for extracting an object existing on the periphery of a vehicle 10 from an image acquired through imaging means 2R and 2L, a means 12 for judging the type of an extracted object, and a means 3 for detecting the yaw rate of the vehicle 10 sequentially.
