<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object recognizing device capable of stably discriminating an object, even when part of the object is hidden, in an image photographed under various environments such as the outdoors. <P>SOLUTION: This object recognizing device has a partial area dividing means 105 dividing an input discrimination object image into a plurality of partial areas, a partial area discriminating means 106 discriminating whether or not the partial area divided by the partial area dividing means 105 is a partial area of a person, by using a characteristic quantity of a partial area provided by a learning means 106, an environmental information acquiring means 107 acquiring information on environment of imaging the input image, an area classification determining means 108 determining an area classification of the environment of imaging the input image from environmental information provided from the environmental information acquiring means 107, and the whole area discriminating means 109 discriminating whether or not the input image is finally the person, by integrating a discrimination result of the partial area discriminated by the partial area discriminating means 106, by changing weight of the partial area of an objective object on the basis of the area classification determined by the area classification determining means 108. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
