<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate that can produce a wide viewing angle characteristic as well as a high luminance characteristic, and to provide a method capable of efficient mass production of the light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide plate for a back light unit is installed so as to convert the mode and path of incident light from a light source.
