<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating platinum from palladium and collecting each of them, which can separate not only platinum (IV) from palladium (II), but also platinum (II) from palladium (II) in a solution containing platinum (II), platinum (IV) and palladium (II), and collect platinum. <P>SOLUTION: This separation method comprises the steps of: making chloro complex anions of platinum (II), platinum (IV) and palladium (II) in the solution containing platinum and palladium to form ionic pairs with a cationic surface active agent; making the ionic pairs absorbed to the micelle of the cationic surface active agent to separate ionic pairs from the solution; and then fractionating palladium (II) from platinum (II) and platinum (IV) by using an EDTA solution to collect palladium and platinum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
