PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP and its manufacturing method capable of preventing generation of noise by suppressing sinking of a panel end part even when the plasma display panel (PDP) is driven under an environment of a pressure lower than a normal atmospheric pressure. SOLUTION: When thicknesses of a front glass substrate and rear glass substrate for structuring a front surface plate 2 and a rear surface plate 10 respectively are 2.8 mm, an amount of the sinking d is not more than 5μm, and when the thicknesses are 1.8 mm, d is not more than 7μm. When d is not more than a predetermined value to the thicknesses of the glass substrates, a clearance is generated between the front surface plate 2 and the rear surface plate 10, and a C part of an end part of a barrier wall 14 is expected to have a shape which does not contact with a surface of the front surface plate 2. Even when the PDP 1 is driven in this state, contact and non-contact at the C part are not repeated, and the noise is hardly generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
