PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone communication system having favorable usability even if a connection destination is changed in accordance with application. SOLUTION: The telephone communication system comprises a PC softphone 10 equipped with a dongle 12 connected to the Internet N, and a cordless telephone set 20 which is connected to a public exchange telephone network L by communication on radio signals through the dongle 12. The PC softphone 10 has a function that accumulates an absence incoming history from the Internet N, and if requested for connection from a slave unit 22 of the cordless telephone set 20, responds to the connection request from the slave unit 22 with the absence incoming history as display data. The slave unit 22 has a function for displaying the display data coming as a response to the connection request from the PC softphone 10 on the display unit of the slave unit 22.
