PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video sound recording apparatus capable of providing a feeling of high satisfaction to a user by recording pictures without interruption when the pictures are recorded on the same recording medium continuously, and even when two time zones of recording reservation are partially overlapped (including the case where finishing time of previous recording and starting time of later recoding are the same). SOLUTION: In the video sound recording apparatus that needs data storage processing upon finishing of recording in a successive recording mode, when pictures are continuously recorded on the same recording medium and two time zones of recording reservation are partially overlapped, previous recording and later recording are continuously executed without interruption.
