PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier bag that is inexpensive and restorable, and a storing method for the carrier bag. SOLUTION: The carrier bag comprises a bag body 5 having one ring-like cord 6, an insertion part 7 in which the cord 6 is inserted, insertion holes 8 made in both ends of the insertion part 7 so that parts of the cord 6 project from them, and an opening defined near the insertion holes 8 so that things can be put in or taken out through the opening. This carrier bag also comprises a tubular packaging bag 4 attached to the cord 6 and capable of storing the folded bag body 5. In the storing method for this carrier bag, a portion near the insertion part 7 of the bag body 5 is extended along the cord 6, the bag body 5 is folded up from an unfolded state, the packaging bag 8 turned inside out is reversed and the folded bag body 5 is covered by the packaging bag 8 connected to the ends of the cord 6 inserted in the bag body 5.
