PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device capable of enhancing the degree of freedom of the design of an instrument panel by enhancing the degree of freedom of wiring an operation cable for remotely operating an article in a cabin. SOLUTION: The remote control device comprises a glove box 12 (an article in a cabin) provided in the cabin and having an opening/closing mechanism 18 (a movable part), and a driving mechanism 14 capable of operating the opening/closing mechanism 18 constantly by the pulling action via an operation cable 38 for transmitting the driving force to the opening/closing mechanism 18. Thus, the glove box 12 can be easily opened/closed by the remote operation even from a part, for example, a driver's seat distant from the glove box 12, the degree of freedom of wiring the operational cable 38 can be enhanced, and the degree of freedom of the design of an instrument panel 22 can also be enhanced.
