PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture convenient plum chopsticks by effectively utilizing an abnormally long branch of a plum tree which has been incinerated as industrial wastes. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of chopsticks comprises: a processing step of straightening the abnormally long branch; a step of cutting the straightened abnormally long branch into a prescribed length; and a step of tapering and cutting down the front end side of the abnormally long branch cut into the prescribed length.
