Planar Image Display Device and Manufacturing Method Thereof

The present invention provides a display device which arranges a face substrate having a phosphor screen and a back substrate having electrons sources in a matrix array, wherein an average film density of the phosphor film which constitutes the phosphor screen is set to a value which falls within a range from 2.0 g/cm² to 3.4 g/cm². Due to such a constitution, it is possible to achieve the high brightness and the prolonged lifetime of the phosphor screen of the planar image display device.
