<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyroelectric-type infrared gas detector having a signal processing circuit of a novel constitution for performing predetermined signal processing, with respect to the sensor output signal from a pyroelectric-type infrared sensor, largely shortening the start time of the pyroelectric type infrared sensor and capable of stably obtaining proper sensor output signal. <P>SOLUTION: In the pyroelectric-type infrared gas detector, equipped with the signal processing circuit for performing predetermined signal processing with respect to the sensor output signal outputted from the pyroelectric-type infrared sensor, the signal processing circuit has a booster circuit and an amplifying circuit; and at the start of the pyroelectric-type infrared sensor, the amplification factor to the sensor output signal due to the amplifying circuit is set to magnitude smaller than a reference mu-factor at steady-state, capable of obtaining the stable sensor output signal; and after a predetermined time is elapsed from the start time of the pyroelectric-type infrared sensor, the amplification factor is altered to the reference amplification factor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
