摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control device of an automatic transmission for a vehicle, which includes a regulation changing means for controlling a power source brake and avoiding busy shift in an automatic shifting mode, and provides a busy shift avoiding function even in a manual shifting mode by simple and inexpensive technique by utilizing the regulation changing means. SOLUTION: When an n-th gear inhibit command is output by an AI shift control means (the regulation change means) (YES in the step S2), even when an S mode (a manual shifting mode) is selected, AI shift control (n-gear step inhibit) is performed when the vehicle speed V is under a preset vehicle speed Vn, thereby favorably avoiding busy shift in running an ascending/descending road or in running at the corner. In the case of V≥Vn, the step S9 is performed to release the AI shift control (n-th gear step inhibit), thereby restraining the occurrence of a large engine braking force against a driver's will.
