<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a die and a molded article in which the suppression of the defects in casting is attained. <P>SOLUTION: A die 54 of molding a molded article 4 having an opening part 12 comprises: die faces 61a, 62a prescribing a first space part 73 corresponding to the external form of a molded article 4 and into which molten metal is poured and a second space part 74 corresponding to the opening part 12 of the molded article 4, further communicated with the first space part 73, and forming a molten metal bridge 32 at the opening part 12; and projection parts 81 to 85 projecting from the die faces 61a, 62a facing to the second space part 74 to the inside of the second space part 74, and further elongating along the flow direction of the molten metal.
