<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prints out after expanding printing data to image data of every page unit, and which can suppress intermittence of the printing operation. <P>SOLUTION: A data expanding part 320 sequentially expands the printing data to the image data of the page unit. A data accumulation part 330 sequentially accumulates the sequentially expanded image data of the page unit up to a predetermined accumulation unit. Every time when the image data is accumulated to the accumulation unit, the data is printed out by a printer unit 210. The printing operation is prevented from being temporarily stopped at least in the midst while the image data is being printed out by the accumulation unit.
