PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk recorder capable of reducing noise by suppressing resonance of a disk medium. SOLUTION: A video camera 100 is provided with a focus mechanism and a thread mechanism for an optical pickup 303 and a rotation mechanism for rotating a disk medium 206, and information is recorded in the disk medium 206. In this case, the medium control unit 207 of the video camera 100 controls a frequency for driving the thread motor 304 of the thread mechanism while excluding frequencies corresponding to the unique number of at least certain (especially primary) vibrations of the disk medium 206 among unique numbers of n (n=1, 2, ...) vibrations which become different unique values depending on the type of a disk medium 206 by predetermined timing. Thus, the resonance of the disk medium 206 is reduced, thereby providing a quiet disk recorder of limited vibrations to a user. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
