PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cluster system which prevents the reduction of system performance due to load balancing. SOLUTION: The cluster system includes a plurality of I/O slots 4, a plurality of nodes 1 each of which is connected to another through one of the plurality of I/O slots 4, and a switch 3 provided between the plurality of I/O slots 4 and the plurality of nodes 1. The switch 3 changes I/O slots 2 connected to nodes 1 in accordance with load states on paths between respective nodes 1 and respective I/O slots 2. The plurality of nodes include an arbitration node 1'. The arbitration node 1' determines tasks to be executed by the plurality of nodes 1, in accordance with the load states.
