PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perform a vibration proof control, and to prevent the breakage of a camera-shake compensation optical system mechanism. SOLUTION: The camera-shake compensation camera includes: an optical axis changing means 13 for changing the optical axis of a photographic lens; a displacement detecting means 3 for detecting the displacement of the optical axis changing means; a displacement velocity calculating means 1 for calculating the displacement velocity based on the displacement detected by the displacement detecting means; a target displacement velocity calculating means 1 for calculating the target displacement velocity in accordance with a difference between the nearly center position in the displacement extent of the optical axis and the displacement detected by the displacement detecting means; a calculating means 1 for calculating the driving amount of the optical axis changing means based on the target displacement velocity and compensating the driving amount thereof based on a difference between the displacement velocity and the target displacement velocity; and a driving means 2 for driving the optical axis changing means so as to change the optical axis thereof to the center position based on the driving amount obtained by the calculating means.
