PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device where a heater is more easily and surely attached. SOLUTION: The fixing device 9 includes a pair of a fixing roller 50 and a pressing roller 52. The assembly of the heater 60 provided with an insulator 65 attached to its end is inserted inside the fixing roller 50. The insulator 65 is equipped with a groove 71 functioning as an engaging part in its small-diameter part 65b. An attaching recessed part 72a formed on the support wall 72 of a machine frame 9a is fit in the groove 71. Therefore, the assembly of the heater 60 is fixedly attached to the support wall 72 just by engaging the groove 71 with the attaching recessed part 72a of the support wall 72 without using a tightening member such as a screw.
