PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device of a moving mechanism which permits the relation between command information from a joystick or the like and an action based on the command information to be understandable to an operator, permits smooth steering, and is operable. SOLUTION: The steering control device has a command value input means to input a go-straight command value and a turn command value and a driving wheel driving control means to control right and left driving wheels on the basis of the go-straight command value and the turn command value, obtains the target speed of the driving wheels by dividing a maximum movement speed into a going-straight speed and a turning speed, and by adding the going-straight target speed based on the going-straight speed and the go-straight command value and the turning target speed based on the turning speed and the turn command value.
