PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron in which electrical connection is ensured even when a reel is turned by electrically connecting both ends of an electrode plate without using a slide brush. SOLUTION: A coil-like electrode plate 9 formed of a conductive material for electrically connecting a power cord 4 and a heater 1 and a base 2 is disposed inside the reel 6a inside a cord reel device 5, the outer side end of the electrode plate 9 is connected with one end of the power cord 4, and the inner side ends are each electrically connected to a wiring cord 10 and fixed to the shaft part 7a of a reel case 7.
