The invention concerns a method of observation and of measurement of the dripping capability in products used as electrophoresis bath - notably for automobile structures - which is representative of the defects observed on structures at the end of an electrophoresis paint application chain, simple to implement and which allows a classification of the products according to their capability to drip under the conditions of a predetermined industrial application. The invention also concerns the implementation of this method to the comparison of products used in electrophoresis baths notably in the automobile industry.
