REFORMING METHOD OF PETROLEUM RESIN COMPOSITIONS IMPROVED DYNAMIC PROPERTIES AND DUCTILITY

A method for reforming a petroleum resin and a binder for color package containing the petroleum resin reformed by the method are provided to improve dynamic properties, elongation and the stability to temperature change. A method for reforming a petroleum resin comprises the step of reforming a petroleum resin with 5-40 wt% of a styrene-based block copolymer by using 1-30 wt% of sulfur, a sulfur donating agent represented by (C2H5O)3-Si-(CH2)3-(S)4-(CH2)3-Si-(OC2H5)3 or their mixture and 0.2-5 wt% of a curing accelerator in the presence of 2-20 wt% of a process oil. Preferably the styrene-based block copolymer is at least one selected from styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer, styrene-isoprene-styrene and styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer.
