<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device having an operation part which is rich in flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: A head phone 1 is provided with a touch pad 6 at the outside as an operating member. When a user touches the touch pad 6 with the finger, display 7a is displayed at a display part 5. The display 7a shows the division of the region of the touch pad 6, and when the user touches the corresponding part of the touch pad 6, the corresponding function is input and operated. The display 7a shows such a status that the user has touched the upper right part of the touch pad 6 with the finger, and that the function corresponding to MENU has been selected, and the part corresponding to MENU of the display 7a is inversely displayed.
