<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of restraining the value of a current flowing instantaneously to be low, and a communication control method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus having a master control part and a plurality of slave control parts for controlling respective parts according to a signal from the master control part, serial communication is performed between the master control part 100 and the respective slave control parts.
