<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact solid-state image pick-up device that solves the problem that when increasing the sensitivity of a video camera or the like by vertical pixels addition processing in a solid state image sensing device, conventional processings cause image displacement in the vertical direction, resulting in an increased circuit size. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state image pick-up device has the solid state image sensing device comprising a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements that are disposed in a two-dimensional matrix shape, and is configured such that a vertical processing circuit has a vertical outline extraction circuit, and the vertical outline extraction circuit outputs vertical outline signals in which outline components of an image in the vertical direction are extracted from signals inputted to the outline processing circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
