<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for anonymously purchasing goods and services over the Internet comprising customer, issuer, merchant and financial institution computers all linked to a communications system, and a plurality of software. <P>SOLUTION: A money amount is received from a customer and a money code is assigned an associated money value. The financial institution computer receives and stores the money code and associated money value. The customer transmits an order and the money code to a merchant. The merchant receives the order and money code and determines a money amount due for the order. The amount due and the money code are transmitted to the financial institution.
